Travelers Dream
With rich and expressive voices and a wide array of instruments, Michael Lewis and Denise Wilson captivate audiences with their unique blend of contemporary and traditional folk music.  If variety is the spice of life, you’ll surely find much to savor in their mix of exuberant Celtic jigs and reels, spirited songs of French Canada, old-time American favorites, and ballads from both sides of the Atlantic.  Standing alongside these timeless gems are original songs that are exceptional for their lyrical beauty and ability to capture what is common in our shared human experience. Within the songs you’ll hear themes of tolerance, justice, a reverence for the natural world, and a dedication to the idea that music can make the world a better place. Of the six recordings in their discography, three have received awards from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.  With strong musicianship, close harmonies, plenty of humor and a warm rapport with audiences – Traveler’s Dream is a band not to miss! Instrumentation: acoustic guitar and vocals, Anglo concertina, Irish flute and whistle, mandolin, bouzouki, harmonium and foot percussion. They will be joined for this performance by fiddler Chance Heasty.
